everything was at happening for the first time, My first international journey, first visit to singapore and US and first flight. Yes I never sat in the plane till my age of 23.
I was thrilled and fascinated. Was not able to sleep a while nor could believe that I am travelling to US of A.
I was travelling alone. so everything had to be learnt as and when it comes. At the checkin while collecting boarding pass Miss Naina(was smart to read the tag put at wrong place) offered me option to choose wither window or Aisle (pronounced as "ayle").
Now I was confused aisle? what the hack does it means. Now did't want to make fun of me. So I told window. She said sir but you are tall person it will be good if you take aisle. I did't listen and paid the penalty. good that the flight was till singapore, And my legs just died :(
landed on the changi airport. One of the best airport of the world. I had no idea about that. I had stay of 6 hours prior to my flight to hongkong. I went on looking at the things.
I thought all international airports are like the one I am admiring.
It was 8:45AM at singapore which is early morning for me.
I had no idea of what's going to happen. I had restricted myself in flight for nature's long call thinking that it's flight and it might not be equipped with water(health foset).
hmmmm... what's wrong with this airport why can't they keep water. First thought of asking the cleaners around. but god know what happened and I purchased a bottled water and I was refreshed. I thought may be it's early morning in singapore and they must have taken it back for cleaning purpose.
But then I realised a hard way that health foset is only in india and rest believes in tissue paper.
YUCK!!!!!!
I landed in SFO airport. I could have easily got lost in SFO as I forgot which bag contains my appartment address and it was saturday so no one will be in office. I got saved as some of my pals had come to pick me up. But I was not informed about it. How come they reached?
I boarded one of their car and they straitway took me to SFO city and we had lunch. then we roamed the downtown (city center). I was learning new things.
at 7 oclock they took me to strange place. Oh such things exists! god damm it!
Well that was my first visit to strip club... yipeeeeee!
Guys who took me, were the last one to be belived to be going to such places. They were my most respected managers.
I could not believe for some time. This guys are married people then why?
out of that one guy has a kid of 10 years....
I was tired and at the same time was not able to digest the things comming up to me.
I never admired the idea of having fun with prostitute. It's like a downgraded thing to me.
me and another like minded pal, we went and sat at last seat as first seat was center of attraction to the killers around.
but we were spotted by one seminude lady. She came to us. we were scared. then suddenly one hand approched me over my shoulders. I noticed two of them behind me.
Shit! ..... only words uttered from my mouth was " Don't touch me! ".
And this words are still center of talks in our group. my other pal was panchi.
we finally returned to our appartment and it was a big sigh!.
Life is short to be filled with ego and jealousy. While world is too big to be covered for the given life time. Quest is to enjoy every bit of the wonders on earth till the existence. And therefor I roam!

Tallest monolith around bangalore - Savendurga
SAVENDURGA |
Savandurga is formed by two hills known locally as Karigudda (black hill) and Biligudda (white hill). The earliest record of the name of the hill is from 1340 AD by Hoysala Ballala III from Madabalu where it is called Savandi. Another view is that the name is originated from Samantadurgaattributed to a Samantharaya, a governor under Ahchutaraya at Magadi.
Savandurga is a hill 33 km west of Bangalore (Karnataka, India) off the Magadi road , in India. The hill is famous for a temple and is also awarded to be first among the largest monolith hills in the world. The hill rises to 1226 m above mean sea level and forms a part of the Deccan plateau. It consists of peninsular gneiss, granites, basic dykes and laterites. The Arkavathi river passes nearby through the Thippagondanahalli reservoir and on towards Manchanabele dam.
Guys and Gals on attempt |
Savendurga is tough and dangerous monolith I ever encountered and had near death time on climb to this peak. I was lucky that day.
Took me an year to recover and finally planned a safer route to go to the top. Accompanied by group of bachelors and newly wed couples I started my climb to the peak.
My previous stint to the peak made me give briefing to newbies , totally new to the bolder. After about 10minutes of demonstration We started our climb to peak.
Start was slow due to heat and steepness of peak.
managing the climb |
Little babies resting out there in hot sun. |
About to reach the first fort wall |
We took frequent breaks and often showed reluctance to proceed. Ladies showed initial reluctance while bachelors were up to showing off their might. With over 4-5 breaks we finally managed to get past initial fort wall.
Tiring climb |
Resting on second Fort wall |
Savendurga has nearly 4 fort walls to cross and each wall give scenic view of magadi village.
Lake on near top of savendurga |
With near top to savendurga, there is small reservoir formed due to rainwater collection. It took us immense energy and time to reach at this point.
Ruins on top |
Hanuman temple en route to Top |
Another ruins on top |
Nandi on top |
After small snacks on top we finally started our decend. It was tough to get down then to climb. we took more time to reach down than top.
Getting down |
oh boy its tough |
Final Group from left to right Utkarsha, Kau, Manish , Siddesh, Guru, Bhagyesh and Niketa |
After the climb down we visited the base of savendurga and quenched our thirst with chilled cola :)
