Summary:-
Narasimha Parvatha, also called the Agumbe peak, is part of the famous “Agumbe - Sringeri” trekking trail. Situated at an altitude of 826 m in Shimoga, it’s the tallest peak (about 3780 feet) in Agumbe Ghats. The view from the peak is panoramic. One can witness the varied soft hues of the stunning sky at sunset. The sunrise is equally enchanting. The imposing Kudremukh ranges are visible from the hilltop.
The paddy fields of the Mallandoor village, a tower of a relay station in Agumbe can also be seen from the summit. There is a big valley between Narasimha Parvata and Mallandoor. The Shola forests are found on mountain peaks. Grasslands cover the peaks while the slopes are covered with thick forests.
PLAN:-
Day 1:- Bus to Agumbe from Bangalore
Day 2:- Reach Agumbe , freshen up, breakfast, report at police station and Head to NP peak. Eroute visit Barkane waterfalls. Camp around NP peak. Camp at top.
Day 3: Walk down to Kigga from peak.. Freshen up in Kigaa and head to Srimane falls by cab. Night dinner and depart to bangalore from Sringeri.
Day 4: Arrive early morning to Bangalore from Sringeri.
We will do this again and better prepared!
